SEPTEMBER 2025

Been wanting to do this for a while! and now that i managed to write a website from scratch (sorts of) I thought…it’s time to give it a try! the point in doing this is to sit down and write about my work and the things I like. Should be easy enough…

SHORTBOX COMICFAIR 2025

I’m part of the line up of this year’s fair! Which is an international comic online event in which you can purchase comics from all around the world. My comic is Moon Junction, a short story about love and faith.

The two Moons follow each other up in the sky, as the royal knights duel once again to the delight of the Astrologer Queen. Long time friends, eternal rivals…even worse. A fate one cannot ever dream of escaping, or so it seems. But now that the celestial bodies have defied their own, an unprecedented cosmic event is about to happen.   Will the knights be capable of doing the same?

The main characters are Gemma, a bold and honest knight that serves the Astrologer Queen for the sake of her old friend Isabel, the most dexterous knight in palace. The story revolves around these two, one representing the love she feels towards her friend and the other one representing the faith that keeps her attached to her duty. Sometimes love and faith are pretty interwined, right?

I would like to mention the Jester as well, which was actually my favourite character to write and draw. Their name is Pol (never made it to the script) and I loved coming up with the interactions between them and Isabel. They use tarot cards to interact with everyone; being the Tower, the World and the Lovers the ones present in the story.

In a less important rol we have the misterious Astrologer Queen, which serves as an anchor for the scenary; and Estel, a young astrologer which knowledge will be key plotwise.

I’m really happy with how this story came out, and will definetly write more about these themes in the future. Needless to say the main inspiration was Elden Ring, with tiny touches of Final Fantasy IV.

EXMAG VOL.6

EXMAG is an anthology series published by Peow2, and I got to be part of this volume! yay!

To be forgotten is a story about oblivion and remembrance. The main characters are studying a remote comet, where they’ll encounter a misterous knight casted away ages ago. The part I enjoyed the most about doing this story was writting the relationship between both characters; the vibes are lighthearted so the interactions feel more realistic (i think!). i also like how the designs of the main characters came out, so funny to draw.

I’ve been wanting to be part of EXMAG for a while now, so I was really happy when i got the email. This story was a challenge for me, as I’m not that familiar with sci-fi like settings. I managed to pull a comfy story between sci-fi and fantasy, being the main inspirations Galaxy Express 999 and The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood.

FUN STUFF

Enought about work!

I’ve been playing many games. I’ll write about three of them.

Mario Kart World got me throught the beginning of summer. I really enjoyed blasting Getaway Car while driving around, racing and playing online… it’s the first Mario Kart game i’ve managed to learn how to play. The world is crowded with things to do, but finding the boring places is what I enjoyed the most: spots without enemies, coins or blocks to interact with. A calm moment inbetween.

Then I started Bloodborne because I really wanted to just play Elden Ring again. It was fast, short and easy! I wasn’t very enthusiastic about the setting, but the grimy werewolf vibes became a story about discovering alien beings and their cosmic power so it really got me in. I actually paused the game in the middle of summer because of a travel, and got back to it now to play Old Hunters. I’m used to play as an astrologer in Elden Ring, so i learned meele solo combat and parry with this game. I found it to be easier this way… until i met Kos.

I’m not sure about the themes in Bloodborne, motherhood seems to be an important thing going on that I cannot fully grasp, so i have my own take. Feels like the constant struggle to work on a story, a whole project that never seems to be quite what you hoped for but its own thing, breathing and living its own rythm. This may sound twisted, but you're not fully in control of what you create, right? I resonated a lot with the cosmic horror aspect of it all, pretty similar to the themes present in Sellen’s quest in Elden Ring and the bewitching primeval forces of nature. It makes you feel tiny and lonely in a comfortable way, for real. There's a gender perspective overarching this videogame that feels quite direct, refreshingly. On a less complex level, the whole narrative of fighting a broken system that seems to perpeutate the most unfair aspects of society is there, as usual.

And then Deltarune. I wasn’t fully convinced with this one, but my friend got really into it and I love playing games together. We played the 4 chapters released until now throught the whole summer. It was a blast! I believe Toby Fox finally found his own language with this one, it didn’t felt just like another thing. I love how the story is unveiling itself without being a main concern to the plot of each chapter, as the characters are always the priority to the game. Everyone is well-written in their own unique way. Gameplay-wise is not my favourite game, but it never becomes an annoying process since we're doing a casual playthrough. I’m aware of the side content though!

The characters got me thinking a lot. Kris is such an interesting person to play with; it’s easy to take the relationship they stablish with the player for granted but the more I think about it the more I believe this is the central plot in the game, interwined with the main story portrayed in the game. It leads to one of the main themes in Deltarune, freedom. Does our choices matter? Maybe…

I also enjoy the more extra-diegetic aspect of it all, how the game is concious of itself and the game preciding it. That’s why we’re playing Undertale now!
